Yamaha TSX-W80

If you’re in the market for a new alarm clock, why not consider buying into one from a top manufacturer of quality audio offerings. The Yamaha TSX-W80 takes a little sting out of the morning greeting by providing some cool features to get you up out of bed in the right frame of mind. This AM/FM radio alarm clock features a 2.1 speaker configuration with dual 4-watt speakers and 8 watts on the low end. It includes the AirWired Cradle, which docks your iPod and allows you to wirelessly stream iPod audio and music to the clock. It also looks pretty stylish, as far as alarm clocks go.

Why would you want to wirelessly stream music to your alarm clock? Chances are pretty good that you wouldn’t, but it still makes a cool little tech trick–a great present for the tech-obsessed geek that has everything. And if indeed you have no use whatsoever for wireless streaming, Yamaha will also be offering the TSX-W70, a slightly lower-end, less-slick 2.1 model that serves as a traditional dock.

No pricing and availability information were yet offered, so the old red LCD alarm clock will have to stay in place for the time being. [via Akihabara News]
