Windows Phone 7 Takes the Next Step: Dell Lightning
By Chris Weiss
Well, it certainly is quite the week for phone leaks, isn’t it? Following the iPhone leak heard ’round the world and all kinds of new Blackberry information, we now have a leak about an uber-impressive-looking piece of Windows Phone 7 hardware: the Dell Lightning. The sexy piece of sharp, rectangular glossiness looks like it could be the phone to make Phone 7 an enviable player in the market.
That screen that you can see sliding off a full Qwerty in the picture up above is a big ol’ 4.1-inch OLED with WVGA resolution. Other notations on the lofty spec sheet include a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 1 GB of flash, 512 MB of RAM, 5-MP autofocus camera, microSD storage of 8 GB, GPS, accelerometer, FM radio, compass and AT&T/T-Mobile 3G. It’s also rumored that this will be the first phone we’ve seen to compete with the HTC Evo in the 4G realm when it gets a bump up to LTE late next year. It looks like Phone 7 has really arrived.
The phone will ship in the fourth quarter of this year, according to the leaked documents. [via Engadget]
