WiMax Coming to More Cities
By Jared NewmanWhat’s this? A leaked document from Sprint’s Web site shows that WiMax coverage will expand to more than a dozen new cities this year. We already knew that Clearwire, the company building the wireless broadband service, was targeting Las Vegas, Chicago, Charlotte, N.C., Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, Honolulu, Philadelphia and Seattle, and it has already built coverage in Baltimore, Portland, Las Vegas and Atlanta. Now, you can add a handful of new cities to that list, including San Antonio, Texas, and Salem, N.C. Sprint offers these services under the name XOHM for $35 a month at home and $45 a month on the road. Sounds perfectly reasonable. [Engadget via MobileCrunch]
