Want a Nexus One? Check eBay
By Chris WeissBoy, the Nexus One saga has unraveled quite rapidly–from over-hyped superphone that tech addicts laid awake thinking about on December 24 to solid but non-revolutionary Android release to frustrating and poorly supported product from a newb retailer and now onto yesterday’s junk hocked at auction. According to a report on BusinessWeek, eBay has been flooded with over 300 Nexus One listings just a week after its release.
Buyers aren’t necessarily just looking to unload the phone, but are likely trying to cash in on some of the hype cloud that surrounded its release. Prices have been cited as high as $1,000. More realistic sellers are offering the phone for $200 to $300.
Bids for the phones have been modest and it appears buyers in other countries (where the Nexus One isn’t available via retail) aren’t that interested in Google’s first mobile. [via BusinessWeek]
