Fight Night 4

Video Game Industry Feels the Heat of the Recession – It’s no secret that there’s a recession going on out there and every sector is feeling it. Video games, though, were supposed to stand tall against the recession. It makes sense: people are cutting back on all forms of outside entertainment, surely they’ll lock themselves up in their room with their XBOX, and maybe a big bottle of cheap grain liquor, and play until it appears clear to come out. However, that’s not the way it’s been going down and video game sales took a signficant downturn of 31 percent in June. That’s the largest single-month drop that sales have seen in nine years. Not good news. Potential good news: some in the industry are calling for cutting prices to counter the slumping sales.  [via PC Mag]
