Toys for Adults: 3D Puzzle Makes Working Gun
By Chris Weiss
Apparently puzzles have changed a bit since the 50 states puzzles I used to put together as kid. The Jenga-looking mf-er below is a 125-piece 3D puzzle. It looks innocuous enough, right? Put together the Tetris-style blocks and you’ve got a big, rectangular building.
However, the puzzle, called “The Intimidator,” includes a dirty, little secret: there’s a gun hiding inside. And it actually shoots. No, not in a secret inner compartment, but in a special configuration of 20 pieces lies a single-shot .45 caliber handgun. It’s kind of like those pictures that look like one thing, but hide secret images if you stare at them just the right way–only it can kill you.

Moral of this story is: look closely at the puzzle that you plan to buy your nephew and make sure that there are no deadly weapons lurking inside. [Maxton via Dvice]
