ThinkFlood RedEye Transforms IPhone Into A Home Theater Remote

Not content with the hundreds of things your iPhone already takes care of for you? Here’s one more–universal remote duties for your home entertainment system.
The ThinkFlood RedEye makes your iPhone or iPod Touch a remote control. The dock communicates with the iPhone via Wi Fi and then sends out infrared signals to control the TV and other home theater equipment. An app brings the recognizable controls of a standard remote onto your touchscreen and you can easily configure it to reflect your system, and add other units to control multiple rooms.
Sounds pretty cool, right? Up until you get to the price tag. The RedEye will set you back a cool $188.
They do realize that you can get a regular universal remote for like 10 bucks, don’t they? Sure, it’s not an iPhone, but it will be easier to operate when you’re half-conscious, drooling all over your collar and flipping mindlessly through channels. I guess you’re less likely to lose this one in between the cushions, though.
