Tesla Roadster Sport: 0 to 60 MPH in 3.7 Seconds

While I just know there’s a few of you pining for that sweet Crown Vic, reeking of stale ashtray and ‘Lectric Shave, the focus here is on the new Tesla Roadster Sport and the street pics thereof. Proving that you don’t have to sacrifice performance for environment so long as you’re rich enough, the new $128.5 K electric sports car trims seconds of precious time off the already impressive 0 to 60 of the Tesla Roadster, from 3.9 to 3.7. The Sport also gets increased power, ultra high-performance tires, and modified suspension with adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars. Body alterations are minor, but include the distinctive black hood vents and wheels that provide a bit of extra flair to an already head-turning ride. The Sport is expected to hit the market next June. As incredible as this car looks, perhaps next time Tesla could put out some glossies. Or at least pick a parking locale not dominated by scene-stealing boats and oily, cracked asphalt. [via Jalopnik]
