Sony Set to Drop E-readers for $200 and $300

Sony is poised to shake up the e-reader market with a pair of readers set to debut later this month. The Sony PRS300 and PRS-600 will bring a new low-end to e-reader pricing at $200 and $300 respectively. The 300 will feature a 5-inch display and hold around 350 e-books, while the 600 will feature a 6-inch touchscreen. Colors include blue, rose and silver. Price cutting does have its drawbacks, however, as neither model is expected to have wireless capabilities. Sony is also expected to drop prices of its e-books and has said that new releases and bestsellers will run $10. [via Wired]
