You know that self-obsessed ass on your holiday shopping list that’s always spending too much money on him/herself and then asking you for a loan or to pick up the lunch bill? Yeah, the same jack-wad that’s got the gall to ask for an assortment of $200 and $300 gifts every year.

Well, here’s what you should give instead: MIT-developed wallets that put a leash on the spoiled brat. Called Proverbial Wallets, these wallets are injected with electronics to provide a friendly reminder of your spending limitations.

The Bumblee gives you a little buzz every time you pay with your credit card, as a tactile reminder that you’re draining your bank account and/or digging yourself into painful debt. The Mother Bear is even more overbearing, closing up like a clam if you have already reached your monthly spending limit. And, finally, the Peacock actually grows and shrinks based upon the amount of money in it, providing a visual cue as to how much you have to spend.
