Say It Ain’t So: Another Apple Tablet, Another Round of Endless Rumors

Here we were pondering what to do with the giant hype vacuum left after Apple’s iPad unveil, and this little nugget comes along. This story could still go nowhere (we sure hope so), but according to TechCrunch, Apple may be deep in the works on a second tablet device. Yes, a second Apple device that we can speculate, whisper and dream about for months (years) until Apple finally decides to give us a taste.

Word is that the second tablet will resemble a Mac more than an iPhone. It will feature a larger screen–possibly as large as 15.4 inches. It’s also rumored to get an Intel chip and software much more closely related to the OS X.

TechCrunch states that the information originated from “a good source”. Since it’s a second-hand source, however, there’s still some hope that this rumor fades into the night without another peep. If not, it could be a second chance for Apple to really impress us with a tablet that’s more than a giant iPhone (or disappoint us for a second time). [via TechCrunch]
