If “TouchWiz” didn’t sound creepy enough already, how about “TouchWiz with Android?” This is the interface you’ll be playing with on Samsung’s Behold II, which combines Samsung’s existing TouchWiz UI with Google’s Android mobile operating system and Android Market. The hallmark is a series of widgets that slides onto the screen, giving users one-touch access to their favorite features and applications. There are also three home screens, allowing you to arrange different workspaces by dragging and dropping widgets on the touch screen.

For hardware, the main attraction is the Behold II’s 3.2-inch AMOLED touch screen, making for nicer contrast and better colors than traditional LED displays. There’s also a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and five live modes. Other features include Wi-Fi, 3G, visual voicemail, Bluetooth, up to 16 GB of external memory and support for both corporate and personal e-mail. Pricing and availability for Samsung’s Behold II have yet to be revealed.

One thing I want to say, though: What’s up with the cube menu? Sure it looks cool, but is there anything less intuitive than trying to find what you’re looking for on six-sided dice? I don’t need flashiness; just give me all the icons up front, thank you very much. [via MobileCrunch]
