Route O’Clock Router Eschews The Little White Box
By Jared Newman
Linksys may have its alien-like router pods, but they don’t hold a candle to the Route O’Clock, which truly blends with the modern home. The arms function just like a regular clock, while slivers of color convey signal strength at a given point in the day, giving a sense of your area’s peak and off-peak times. Best of all, there’s no obnoxious blinking lights, reminding us how unnecessary they are to begin with. Kudos to TalkTalk and students at Goldsmiths, University of London, for dreaming this up. Let’s hope Linksys takes a page. [Future Routers via Creative Review]
