Real or Faked: Google Chrome OS Screenshots

Originally sent in to Mashable by an “unfamiliar source” the screenshots are claimed to be of Google’s upcoming Chrome OS. It’s unknown whether they’re authentic or just something put together by a bored high school student with too much summer vacation left, but the old-school CRT monitor on which the shots are displayed points to the latter. We’ll take it with a grain of salt, enjoy the simplicity of the supposed OS and wait for a real, confirmed look at Chrome from Google.  [Mashable via Gizmodo]
