Project Natal to Launch in October for $150
By Chris Weiss
The rumor mill is churning pretty hard over Microsoft’s Project Natal. According to a new “trusted source” consulted by Edge Online, Microsoft’s sensor-based gaming add-on will have a sticker price of $150, putting it about in the middle of previous rumors. The new rumor also indicates a tentative October 26 launch for the system, which would put it right in that logical holiday launch window that Microsoft has already promised.
While the standalone Natal add-on package will run a buck and a half, Microsoft will also be selling a packaged version with an Arcade console for $300, which essentially breaks down to $100 for Natal.
Microsoft will get the final say at E3 next month. Until then, you better start asking yourself how much you’re willing to spend for motion-based gaming on Xbox. [via PC World and CNET]
