Project Natal is Due in Late 2010
Jul 30, 2009 - By Jared Newman
Microsoft has tried to keep the lid on a release window for the Xbox 360’s Project Natal, but in typical company fashion, word ends up getting out anyway. THQ CEO Brian Farrell said the motion-sensing camera peripheral will arrive late next year. That declaration comes a week after hardware maker Aptina said it’s making the cameras, and that Natal is coming in the second half of 2010. I’m not shocked, given that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer already let it slip that the controller will arrive next year. In a perfect world, Microsoft would just throw its hands in the air and admit that it couldn’t keep the secret. Instead, we’ll get to watch the PR team bend over backwards to spin the problem into oblivion. [GamesIndustry.biz via Electronista]
