Polaroid to Become a Gaming Accessory Manufacturer
By Chris Weiss
In the day and age where digital cameras reign, the instant-print camera is no longer that much of a novelty. Sure, it still saves you from tapping into the computer and hitting ‘Print’, but a digital camera lets you see and share your photos immediately and lets you delete the poor ones before wasting any paper.
Polaroid realizes the time is ripe for a new gig and will launch gaming accessories that have little to do with photography. And it’s not just dipping its feet into new waters, it’s diving in head first.
According to MCV, the company will launch a “huge range of peripherals for Xbox 360, Wii, DS and PS3″ in the U.K. beginning in May. Some of the devices included in this range are battery packs, wireless controllers, a microphone headset and a sensor bar for Wii. The company will get started with accessories for Nintendo’s Wii and DS. [MVC via Ubergizmo]
