Onkyo Introduces Dual-Screen Laptop, Under $1000
By Chris Weiss
We expect to see more and more dual-screen laptops hitting the scene next year, and Onkyo provides a solid machine for a decent price with the DX. Attracting the viewer’s attention, the DX includes two slide-out 10.1-inch LCDs each sporting 1,366 × 768 resolution.
Beyond the dual-screen flash, Onkyo packs a pretty basic set of specs: a 1.6GHz Athlon Neo MV-40 CPU mans the ship with 32-bit Windows 7 and ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics. The DX includes an entry point of 2-gigs of memory(up to 4GB), 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Gigabit Ethernet, Webcam and a 320GB HDD.
Price is listed at ¥84,800 or around $966. The DX is based on the Kohjinsha DZ, but offers better screens, better specs and a comparable price tag. Not a bad looking buy. [Impress via Engadget]
