Official Preview of Blackberry OS 6.0
By Chris Weiss
We already had a recent preview of Blackberry OS 6.0 thanks to Boy Genius Report, but now we have the official presentation. RIM CEO Mike Lazaridis provided a brief walk-through of the new OS at WES today and it looks a lot like what we expected.
The OS features a new, WebKit browser that includes multitouch, enhanced interface with cleaner graphics and icons, and home screen with content organized into separate pages (media, downloads, apps, etc.). All that gels pretty nicely with what we’ve already seen.
According to PC World, it’s not yet clear if multitouch will extend beyond the browser into other aspects of the interface. Last week’s leak indicated that it will be featured throughout the new OS.
The updated OS will launch next quarter. Check out the video below for a look at a brunette pair of boobs (and a tie and orange sweater) using the new interface to the unfortunate tune of Boom Boom Pow. [via PC World]
