ODROID Android Handheld, Like Game Boy Color on Crack
By Jared Newman
Yeah, I said it. Looking at this fuzzy photo of the ODROID Android handheld is like staring into 1998, when having a translucent, colorful handheld with fat buttons meant you were about to do some serious gaming. Maybe that’s the point here, with a D-Pad and all-too-familiar X-Y-A-B button set-up. Of course, Android hasn’t really proven itself as a gaming platform just yet, but maybe the antiquated control scheme was the missing element, paired with a 3.5-inch touch screen, an 833MHz Samsung S5PC100 processor, 512MB of RAM, Wi-Fi (but no 3G) and an 8 GB SD card. Keep an eye out for his wave of the future in December, when the ODROID is due to launch for $250. [via SlashGear]
