Nokia Surge Coming to AT&T July 19th
By Jared Newman
If texting and tweeting’s your thing, Nokia would like a minute of your time. Its Symbian S60-based Surge smartphone will hit stores later this week, offering a full QWERTY keyboard and a bundle of messaging features. Of course, there’s e-mail, IM, SMS and MMS, plus a JuiceCaster application for posting messages to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Other features include a Web browser with Flash support (Flash Lite, I presume), a 2-megapixel camera and GPS. It’s just $79.99 after rebate, but you’ll pay your fair share though a minimum $70 monthly call and data plan, for two years. That begs the question, is the keyboard so important that you wouldn’t drop $20 more for an iPhone 3G? [via Slashgear]
