Nokia N8 With12-Megapixel Camera Officially Official
By Chris Weiss
Nokia has officially upped the cell phone camera game with its latest release: the N8. Featuring 12 megapixels worth of Carl-Zeiss-equipped photo capability, the N8 also delivers a Xenon flash and 720p video recording. So if convenience isn’t enough and you want to actually distinguish what you took pictures of on your cell phone, this one is right up your alley.
In addition to the camera, the phone features a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, 16GB of storage, microSD expansion up to 32 GB, HDMI output, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, FM radio and all your favorite meters and sensors: accelerometer, magnetometer (compass), ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. The phone runs Symbian 3 and gets the Nokia standard of free OviMaps.
The U.S. price hasn’t been dropped, but it will cost €370 in Europe or € 0 with contract.
And for a moment, however brief, we’re able to forget all about that iPhone 4G. [Nokia via Gizmodo]
