Merry early Christmas Google/Android lovers. Engadget is running a full spec sheet on the Nexus one, along with some tipped information on its upcoming availability. According to the tip, the phone will begin sales after this year’s holiday hiatus on January 5. Don’t get too excited just yet–as the story goes, the phone will initially be sold only to those that get an invite. It’s still unclear who will be invited for the initial sales, but unless you recently treated Google to a nice dinner and actually called to see how she was doing the following day, don’t expect to make the cut.

Okay, so you may not be the first to snag one, but here’s what you can expect: Android 2.1 OS; 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED screen, 512 MB RAM; included 4GB of microSD–expandable up to 32 GB; 5MP, autofocus camera with LED flash, HSPA 900 / 1700 / 2100; WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. The phone will be just 11.5 mm thick and will measure 59.8 mm wide by 119 mm high. Check out Engadget for all those lesser details that you’d like to know.

The Nexus one is also expected to be sold by T-Mobile, but a date wasn’t a part of today’s rumors.
