New Sony Walkman S740 Eyed in Japan

Not a whole lot of info to go along with this spotting, but a previously-unseen Walkman model–the S740–was recently seen in Japan at a Sony dealer convention. The Walkman features a similar interface to the familiar S540, but drops the frontside speakers and includes a bigger, burlier set of earbuds. Reportedly, it will be available in 8 and 16 GB versions. Outside of that and the picture above, little is known about the player, its price and whether or not it will make it onto the shores of the U.S.  However, I’m sure it’s not the last we’ll see of it.
