“Rachael” and “Kiki”: Two New Sony Ericsson Phones
Jul 06, 2009 - By Chris Weiss
Details on two new Sony Ericsson phones have been leaking out little by little. While there’s no confirmation on many of the specifics, it is known that SE is planning to release an Android phone later this year. Codenamed “Rachael”, the phone will feature a Qualcomm QSD8250 at the driver’s wheel with a large touchscreen to navigate. Some other projected specs, which aren’t all likely to materialize, are a 1 GHz CPU, 12 MP phone, HD video decoding, GPS, Wi-Fi support and broadcast TV. “Rachael” will fall under the Xperia line, presumably as the X5. “Kiki” is a slight divergence from anything we’ve seen from SE, featuring a transparent display that is visible from either side. When the phone turns on, the keypad appears on the smooth surface underneath. No specs have yet been reported. For a look at this interesting phone, check out the gallery below. [via Unwired View]
