Motorola and Verizon have become inseparable as of late, and there’s another new service that’s expected to tie them even tighter at the hip: FiOS TV, Verizon’s subscription television service. According to a recent report on Financial Times, Motorola is preparing a tablet that will feature the television service, making it more of a fully functioning portable TV. Motorola has also teamed with Verizon in designing set-top boxes for the FiOS service.

The Motorola device is rumored to be a 10-inch Android tablet. It could launch as early as this fall.

In addition to providing the rich television service that Apple failed to put together for the iPad, the Motorola tablet will include two cameras and Adobe Flash. It’s expected to be lighter and thinner than the iPad and offer Wi-Fi hot spot functionality. So far it sounds like an intriguing iPad competitor. [via Financial Times]
