Verizon announced today that Motorola DEVOUR will launch on its network this March. The slide-out Qwerty handset will be the first Verizon offering to include Motorola’s MOTOBLUR, an Android-based feature that syncs contacts from email with content from social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. MOTOBLUR  pushes social updates to the Happenings widget on the home screen.

The DEVOUR features a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen. Other hardware includes a touch-sensitive track pad, A-GPS, Bluetooth, 3G and pre-installed 8-gig microSD card. It comes with a host of pre-loaded applications like Gmail, Google Maps Navigation and YouTube.

Verizon hasn’t specified the price of the new phone, but it should come in well under the cost of the Droid. It will require a data plan that runs $29.99/month. [Verizon via BGR]
