Well your cell phone decision has officially gotten more difficult. After some leaks and early appearances, the Droid X is 100 percent official. It carries a July 15 launch date and price tag of $200 with two-year Verizon contract and $100 rebate.

If you haven’t been paying attention to the next generation of Motorola devices, the Droid X is the new top dog, bringing a very persuasive set of hardware including a 4.3-inch display, 1 GHz  processor, 8-megapixel camera with 720p recording, Wi-Fi hotspot function for up to five devices and Adobe Flash 10.1. It would appear that the display in HD display that we saw the other day is a verb rather than a noun–near as we can tell, it refers to the HD connectivity through HDMI and not an actual HD-resolution LCD. The Droid X also includes DLNA connectivity.

The Droid X will ship with Android 2.1, but will get OTA updates for 2.2 as well as Flash 10.1 later this summer. Users will be able to get movie and video content from Blockbuster On Demand, part of VCAST Video. [via Verizon]
