More Apple Tablet Details Surface

A new report on AppleInsider provides some details on the Apple tablet. No, nothing on the UI, video playback, processor or other key specs, the information is focused primarily on the form factor of the new device.
According to AI, the tablet will look like a first-gen iPhone “that’s met its match with a rolling pin”. The sources consulted by the blog state that of all the tablet mock-ups we’ve seen, the one pictured above is the closest to the real thing. The mock-up is attributed to Flickr user Fotoboer.nl.
Aspects of the mock-up that will reportedly be featured on the real deal include the aluminum casing and black screen outline. The device will feature the same buttons as the iPhone but will be markedly thinner. Other specs will also be shared with the iPhone including GPS, 3G, 30-pin dock connector, microphone, built-in speaker grills and 3.5mm audio out.
