microsoftstore3 Microsoft Yanks Apple Store Managers, Staff

We’ve already heard that Microsoft’s upcoming retail stores could look a lot like Apple Stores, but it seems the employees will look eerily similar as well. Anonymous sources tell The Loop that Microsoft is luring Apple Store managers with “significant raises” and, in some cases, moving expenses. Those managers are in turn calling up their old sales staff and offering more pay at the rival company. I suppose these are employees with good hustle and technical knowledge to boot, but are they prepared to pitch Windows over OS X? Will they be motivated to sell the Zune HD instead of an iPod? Also, I’ve always felt that Apple Store employees sort of resemble Justin Long’s “Mac” character, at least in attitude. Perhaps the Microsoft Store would be better served by a staff full of John Hodgmans. [The Loop via Electronista]
