Microsoft Tablet and Phone In the Works?

As the world awaits confirmation and full disclosure of the rumored Apple Tablet, word is that Microsoft has a tablet of its own in the works. ZDNet has cited a number of tips that point to a Microsoft tablet as part of a project known as “Alchemy Ventures”. Speculation is that Microsoft will wait to release the tablet until Apple finally unveils its own storied tablet, which last we heard will be in February. No specific information on the tablet is yet available, but in the same article ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley discusses another rumored Microsoft project: the Pink phone. The Pink phone is expected to be an externally-built, Microsoft-branded phone that runs on Windows 7 and includes premium features such as the Zune video store.
