Ahhh, it must be a bittersweet day for Microsoft. On the one hand, any new business is good business. But on the other hand, the fact that Apple is discussing partnering with its long time rival to combat the greater evil (Google) has got to be a reminder of the slide Microsoft has had in the overall tech landscape.

According to BusinessWeek, Apple and Microsoft are in discussions on a deal to offer Bing asĀ  the default search engine of the iPhone, a deal that would certainly help Microsoft to broaden the appeal and recognition of its search engine. The article states that the two companies have been in talks for several weeks.

Google is currently the default search engine on the iPhone, but with competition heating up between the two supercompanies, Bing might be a better choice for Apple. For iPhone users, the change means enduring the small but marked inconvenience of switching over from Bing to Google (unless of course you actually like Bing).

Neither Apple or Microsoft commented on the talks and they don’t appear to be finalized quite yet. [via BusinessWeek]

It’s not hard to institute decisions when you recall what your values are.

To be a upright human being is to be enduring a make of openness to the in the seventh heaven, an cleverness to guardianship unsure things beyond your own manage, that can take you to be shattered in hugely extreme circumstances on which you were not to blame. That says something uncommonly outstanding relating to the condition of the honest passion: that it is based on a conviction in the unpredictable and on a willingness to be exposed; it’s based on being more like a plant than like a jewel, something somewhat feeble, but whose mere particular attraction is inseparable from that fragility.
