Foley is the term for incidental sounds that filmmaking technology is unable to pick up effectively; film sound recording privileges dialogue over walking on a carpet because faking walking on a carpet is a lot easier and cheaper. Each tool is custom-designed and hand-built, and it rolls up into a bundle for simple transport, meaning you’ve got all the impact sounds you need over your shoulder.

Yep, from door closings to getting smacked around, if it’s a film sound effect, there’s a tool for it sitting within this canvas roll. What’s neat is how Oneida, a London-based industrial designer by trade, spent serious time researching exactly what foley artists needed and then even more time assembling each tool to make that specific sound.
