Loop Loop Pointer Motion Based Mouse Now Available

With all the recent hype over new motion-based technology announcements by Microsoft and Sony, many have probably been wondering: “Why the hell don’t we have that for computers?!”  With more and more users connecting their computer to their television to make a fully interactive multimedia center, the need for this type of device has been clear. And now it’s here. The Loop Pointer, from Hillcrest Labs, uses a series of accelorometers and sensors to translate arm and wrist motion into cursor movement. It also contains a simple four-button system and scroll wheel. It’s available on Amazon  for $99. That’s the good news. The bad news is it looks like the bracelet your Aunt Agnes gave you on your 9th birthday when she got you confused with your little sister. [via Gadget Lab]
