Leak Details Motorola Sholes Tablet Shows an Even More Impressive “Droid 2″
Dec 03, 2009 - By Chris Weiss
The Motorola Droid has been making waves on the tech blogosphere, television and smartphone market for the past few months, and some details on its successor, the rumored Sholes (Droid) tablet, are beginning to surface, courtesy of Chinese forum Mobile 01. Thanks to the site, we get the idea that the Sholes tablet will best its predecessor by adding an HDMI out and 8MP camera with 720p video recording and xenon flash.
The phone has 3.7-inch with 800 x 480 resolution that supports multi-touch and the same 550MHz OMAP TI 3430 processor as the Droid. For the time being, it looks like it will also run Android 2.0, though that might change by the time it comes to market.
On the downside (or up depending upon who’s looking), the Sholes Tablet drops the slide-out Qwerty found on the current Droid. [BGR via PC World]
