Kindle Will Be Available in Targets Nationwide
By Chris Weiss
The Kindle came to Target a few weeks ago, but it didn’t come to all Targets. It’s been slowly infiltrating retail locations around the country, and Target announced today that the Kindle will be go nationwide beginning this week on June 6. Target is selling the Kindle for the same lovable $259 price that it costs on Amazon and will give customers a chance to get hands on before they buy.
With competition in the e-reader and tablet market growing stiffer, the ability to try before you buy could mean a world of difference in making a decision. Other major options like the B&N Nook, Apple iPad and Sony e-readers are available at brick-and-mortar outlets, so nationwide Target availability will help level the playing field for the Kindle.
