kindledxangle Kindle DX Sold Out Again

The Kindle DX’s $489 price tag hasn’t stopped the masses from demanding the oversized e-readers. Either that, or there’s not enough supply. At Amazon, the device is listed as out of stock, with an estimated shipping window of four to six weeks. This is the second time the Kindle DX has sold out, as they were previously unavailable in mid-June. As a consolation, there’s always the 6-inch Kindle 2, which Amazon has in stock now for $359. Of course, it’s not the same as curling up with a 9.7-inch touch tablet and PDF support, plus 3,500 books compared to the Kindle 2’s library of 1,500. That’s what an extra $130 and a boatload of patience gets you. [Amazon via Punch Jump]
