Is it That Bad? Microsoft Exec Calls iPhone “Apple’s Vista”

Woah there, Microsoft. I know you’re probably teeming with giddiness watching Apple finally struggle with image and hardware problems. But to call the iPhone 4 Apple’s Vista might be taking it a little far. Plus, it just reminds a brave new Microsoft 7 world how bad you f-ed up with Vista. Bad move on your part.
Kevin Turner, Microsoft’s COO offered this unrefined nugget: “It looks like the iPhone 4 might be their Vista, and I’m okay with that.”
Kevin Turner, let’s get a few things straight. The iPhone 4 is performing well in almost every other regard outside of the reception issue, which by the way, is technically pretty easy to fix. Windows Vista was a steaming pile of crap in just about every regard. And it wasn’t easy to fix. Don’t get all ahead of yourself quite yet.
Oh and saying that you’re “okay with that” just looks silly and spiteful; I’m sure Apple was okay with the fact that you launched the giant failures known as the Kin phones. Far as I can tell, though, they didn’t need to come out and stress that point. It kind of speaks for itself. [via Computerworld]
