Is Facebook Down? The denial of service attack that brought down twitter this morning may have aimed its sights on Facebook as well. While tests conducted on our end showed that Facebook is operational, the social networking site is receiving connection errors, with images being slow to load, chat functionality failing and intermittent page loads. Gadgetcrave readers have reported that Facebook was unresponsive this afternoon, as have other media sources. While Twitter appears to be operational (and then not at all), the status of Facebook is also shaky at best. If you receive any connection errors or bugs on Facebook today, share them in the comments. Between the two giants of social networking, we’d be interested to see who is more secure from these kinds of attacks: Facebook or Twitter.
