IRiver NV Mini Bike Edition: Bike GPS and PMP
Sep 21, 2009 - By Chris Weiss
Combining the bike-specific functions of a traditional cycling computer with the multimedia and GPS functionality of its NV pmp, iRiver has introduced the new NV mini bike edition. The device offers the touchscreen, GPS and media playback of the NV, while cutting size and dropping the TV tuner. The bike pmp features a 3.5-inch 320 x 240 display with a larger interface to make it easier to use when your hands are covered by bike gloves, Windows CE 5.0, SDHC, integrated speakers and 3.5 mm jack. It also measures performance indicators like speed, distance, ride time and calories burned, and even includes Points of Interest, such as restaurants and bike shops. It’s not a bad little device for serious cyclists. It is set to go on sale in South Korea for around $156 and it’s not known if it will make it to the U.S. [Navigadget via Slash Gear]
