iPhone Now the Most Popular Flickr Camera

Noticed a drop in photo quality on Flickr lately? Maybe it’s because users are increasingly taking to the iPhone to upload photos, as the smartphone’s low-megapixel, no-flash camera has become the most popular for Flickr users. One caveat: These results change often, and the competing Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi could be doing battle with the iPhone for some time. Regardless of what happens, these results don’t mean dedicated cameras are becoming less popular; they mostly show how the iPhone is dominating the camera phone space, especially when it comes to posting those photos on the Internet. Nokia’s N95 and several Blackberry phones follow far behind. And with the new iPhone 3GS boasting an extra 1.2 megapixels over the previous 2-megapixel model, there’s even more reason to snap away.
