IPads Are Currently Rolling Off Production Lines As Planned, Says New Report
By Chris Weiss
Earlier in the week, a note from an analyst indicated that the iPad was experiencing production issues that would put it in short supply once it hits shelves later this month. However, a new report on Digitimes indicates that production is going along as planned, meaning there will be plenty of iPads for all you seething Apple fans.
One of Apple’s iPad partners, Foxconn, said that Apple should be ready to ship 600,000 to 700,000 units this month and 1,000,000 next month. It’s unlikely that Apple will delay the launch of the iPad.
The note by Canaccord analyst Peter Misek indicated production numbers as low as 300,000 in March, and also predicted the delays affecting next month’s iPad supply. [via PC World]
