IPad Printing: ‘It Will Come’

Steve Jobs’ new role as official email mouthpiece at Apple has revealed some interesting information about the future of the iPad: it will include printing capabilities. Responding to an email validly questioning why the iPad doesn’t offer printing, Steve Jobs (or an Apple intern purporting to be Steve Jobs on email) responded with a very simple but telling “It will come.” A little cryptic and Field of Dreams-ish, but good news for iPad owners that want more productivity from their tablet.
Since Apple has spent time trying to make the iPad more than just a fun, multimedia device, the addition of printing would definitely help boost its enterprise cred. Jobs’ one liner doesn’t offer much in terms of when printing will be added, but assuming the email is the real deal, it does offer business users some imminent hope. [via MacRumors]
