Iomega’s StorCenter ix2-200 is kind of like the Swiss army knife of network-attached storage devices. It’s full of features, some of which you’ll need, and some of which you probably won’t use, though you’re just happy to know they’re there. Aside from plain old storage, the StorCenter supports Torrent files without a dedicated PC, uses Bluetooth to pull in files from your cell phone, can be accessed remotely from anywhere in the world (using a personalized Web address) and even supports the Time Machine backup feature on Apple computers. Icing on the cake? The StorCenter satisfies your inner hippie with an Energy Star-certified power supply, “green” hard drives and automatic spin-down when it’s not in use.

The full feature list runs long, I also like the ability to connect a printer via USB, turning the StorCenter into a network print server. The device also knows how to shut down safely without data loss in case of a power failure. You can also stream media to quite a few devices beyond your computer, such as a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360. Ready for the damage? The StorCenter with a terabyte of data costs $270. There’s also a 2 TB model for $370 and a 4 TB model for $700. They’re available now in the U.S. and Europe. [via Gizmodo]
