Here’s a real catch 22–Intel’s new concept notebook provides four screens in one. From a hardware standpoint, it’s pretty damn cool. On the other hand, the minute that a four-in-one computer becomes standard, bosses everywhere are going to expect their staff to do four times as much work. That part isn’t so cool. Love it or hate it, the Intel concept codenamed “Tangent Bay” features one primary LCD screen and three OLED screens located at the top of the keyboard. The device is being called the world’s first multi-touch, multi-screen concept solution, and was unveiled at Intel’s Mobility Meetup. During the event, Intel reps showed the seamless interfacing between the four separate screens, for example, sliding music files from one OLED to the next with a finger. If two screens aren’t enough for you, here’s some good news of what the future might look like. [via CNET]
