iBand iPhone Case: 150% Stronger

On the outside, Tech21′s iBand looks like any old iPhone case, but it’s the stuff inside that makes it special. This case uses a material called d3o, which transforms on impact from soft and rubbery to firm and strong. When resting, d3o’s molecules move about freely, but at the moment your iPhone hits the ground, the molecules lock into place, absorbing and dispersing the shock throughout the case. The result is a case that’s reportedly 150 percent stronger than your average iPhone cover.
