HTC’s 2010 Roadmap Leaks
Dec 07, 2009 - By Chris Weiss
It’s not even 2010 yet and if a series of leaked documents are to be believed, we already know what to expect from cell phone manufacturer HTC. The documents, which were apparently from an internal meeting in Vienna, detail four distinct categories for Android and WinMo offerings: Design/Lifestyle, Performance, Prouctivity and Social. According to the details, HTC is rolling its WinMo phones into the Productivity category and saving the other spots for Android releases. Some of the specific highlights include:
‘
- ‘Bravo’–A Performance phone with Snapdragon processor, DivX support, 720p video recording, 3.7-inch AMOLED and 5MP autofocus camera. Expected in April.
- ‘Trophy’–A WinMo 6.5 Productivity phone with portrait Qwerty, 3-inch VGA capacitive touchscreen and 600MHz MSM7227 processor. May debut anticipated.
- ‘Salsa’–An Android in the Design/Lifestyle line featuring a portrait Qwerty, Qualcomm MSM7225 at 528MHz, FM radio and 3.2 MP camera. Coming in June.
- ‘Tide’–Social Android phone with touchscreen and numeric keypad down below. April release date is given.
While we’ll have to wait to see if all (or any) of the info is accurate, a similar leak last January provided an accurate picture of this year’s HTC line. For the full round-up, check out Engadget’s slideshow.
