HP Envy 13 and 15 Pop Up
By Chris Weiss
Some pictures of HP’s new Envy 13 and 15 have hit the Web today. Information, specs and official announcement are lacking so far, but the real story is in the name. Envy is also the name of Voodoo’s line of notebooks. Voodoo is HP’s upper-end, boutique line–kind of the Lexus to HP’s Toyota. Speculation is running rampant as to what greater trend the borrowed name indicates: is HP just borrowing the name and some styling of Voodoo products or is Voodoo being rolled into the more mainstream HP? Considering the current economic climate, HP may be feeling the need to focus more on broad-based products vs. high-end specialty computers, but the true motivations are still unknown. Either way, the notebook is a good-looking addition to HP’s line. We’ll just have to wait for an official announcement to get the back story and hard info on the notebook itself. [via Crunch Gear]
