With the DreamScreen, HP’s looking to make the digital picture frame more fun, adding video, Internet access, media sharing and widgets. In that regard, the DreamScreen’s not really a picture frame at all, but a full-fledged home theater PC. Using a remote or buttons on the frame, users can browse the Web or use included functions for Facebook status updates, weather and news. Pictures and video can be viewed in 800 x 400 resolution through the 10.2- or 13.3-inch screens by popping in a memory card. Or, you can stream media by networking the DreamScreen to your home computers. On-board speakers provide the audio. The DreamScreen 100 and 300 and available now for $249 and $299, respectively, through HP’s Web site. [via PC Magazine]
