Helium Balloon, iPhone and Java Combine FTW
Sep 23, 2009 - By Jared Newman
You know it’s a special event when an iPhone gets tied to a helium balloon for the purpose of taking and Tweeting pictures of the audience. So it went in Bucharest, Romania, where attendees of the WebStock IT Conference were treated to the sight of high-flying technological gimmickry. The iPhone was reprogrammed to take pictures every minute, catching the audience in all their politely-sitting-down glory. The point of all this? Who knows. It was apparently the work of a Java programming company, which is far less exciting than, say, clowns. Worst of all, they probably had to jailbreak the phone to do this. Apple would not approve.
